Got tickets with friends to The Big Eat and I was so excited. It’s an annual food and drink festival, featuring all local Denver restaurants–right up my alley. Restaurants prepare a small plate of food and people wander around the festival trying different things out, chatting with chefs, and sipping on cocktails. It was my 2nd year at the festival, and they added some fun features, such as live music. It’s under the pavilions at the DCPA, and the weather was perfect this year. My favorite dish of the night was the Thai Tea Cheesecake from Ace Eat Serve (pictured here), as well as their pork potsticker, which was perfectly flavorful and had great textures. Other favorites of the night included Ophelia’s, Euclid Hall, and Central Bistro. The only bummer was that the event was from 6-10pm, and most restaurants ran out of food by 8:00, but the silver lining is that we were too full to really care. Overall, a really great evening!
