Dazzle is considered a jazz icon in Colorado, and it’s rather easy to miss with everything else competing for your attention on Lincoln Street. Located between 9th and 10th on Lincoln across from the Beauvallon condos, this bar/music-venue offers stiff drinks, broad menu choices, and amazing live acts spanning the different sub-genres of jazz music.
I recently visited with friends on the one night the Ron Miles Group was playing back-to-back shows. The cocktails range from $9-11 on average, and I had serious trouble choosing there were so many tempting drinks. Everyone at my table tried something different, and all agreed they were great and well worth the price. The food menu is very broad so even the picky eaters are likely to find a good dish or late night snack. I’m eager to go back to Dazzle to try their famous Sunday Jazz Brunch. There’s something about Jazz + Brunch food that just makes me happy, I find it to be a great sensory combo.
Important things to know:
- You can visit Dazzle without seeing a show, the bar often has live music acts as well
- Most formal shows require tickets. These are often inexpensive compared to your typical downtown costs, but they do levy a fee per ticket if you use a Credit Card
- For live music, your party should arrive together as that is how you will be seated. Best tables go to the earliest arriving parties in line
- Their drinks menu and food menu can be found online if you want to know before you go
