I’ve never seen a place blow up quicker than Avanti in the Highlands. It’s hard to explain if you haven’t been, but it’s basically the coolest food court you’ve ever been to. A lot of my friends go there multiple times in a week, because the patio is so lovely and there’s great energy around it. The top level has a huge bar with 2 large patios overlooking downtown Denver and the city lights. Downstairs has about 5 different restaurants that you can pick from (made from shipping containers), and upstairs has a few too, along with a large bar. It’s fun, because you and your friends don’t have to decide between Mexican and pizza anymore. My favorite cocktail is the Take Me Out to the Ball Game, which has whiskey, ginger beer, and lemonade. So refreshing.
After a recent trip my parents took to Avanti, I feel compelled to explain that every time I have been there, Avanti is generally full of the younger crowd at night. For families or the older generation, I would recommend going in the afternoon or early evening.
Picture of food below is a fall pizza with sausage, pumpkin, almonds from Brava Pizzeria (one of my favorite pizza places in Denver), and super-bomb tater tots from Mijo (an offspring of Bonanno Concepts’ restaurant, Bones). They are both on the first level of Avanti.
