There are more than a few reasons to head up to Loveland. Most recently USA Today recognized Loveland as the Colorado representative for “Most Picturesque Towns in Each State”. I’ve recently added a must-stop to my Loveland visit list, the Loveland-based Grimm Brothers Brewhouse.
Grimm Brothers is heavy on German-styled beers. You’ve likely seen their amazing and colorful bottle labels, featuring storybook twists on classic tales, in your nearby liquor store. The taproom ambiance really suits that playful style. I love the wall graphics. Additionally the taproom offers specials nearly every night. These aren’t lame specials either, if I lived in the area, this would become my new go-to place regardless of the day of week.
Grimm has regular beers on tap mixed with special seasonals and projects. My favorites from their standing selections were the “Master Thief”, a German Porter (5.2%, 20IBU), “Snow Drop”, a Kottbusser Ale (7.1%, 10IBU), and “Fearless Youth”, a Munich Dunkel (5.8%, 22IBU).
