A few weeks ago, my foodie friend invited me to happy hour at Lola while they were featuring a special menu for the night. Several Denver chefs had gotten together and formed a collaboration menu called La Cosecha. The purpose was to celebrate fresh Colorado produce and fresh seafood. The chefs were from Jax, Vesta, Mercantile, The Kitchen, Acorn, Lola– to name a few. We ordered the McDonald Farms Proscuitto Cotto (delicious), Smoked Bay Scallop (great flavors), the Red Snapper (perfect texture and interesting complexity), and had some great sangria on the patio.
Having been to Lola several times before, I always enjoy the lively atmosphere, good service, and flavorful food. They make a great tableside guacamole, and their cocktails are on point. They have a nice patio, as well as basement, if you’re looking for a more quiet setting. I would recommend it for happy hour or drinks with a few friends.
