Watercourse is the first vegan restaurant I’ve ever been to, and I was pleasantly surprised. My friend and I went to breakfast there and got to sit on the patio and soak up the sun. I wasn’t sure what to order, or what a good amount of the words were on the menu, like tempeh bacon and barley sausage. The waiter was helpful in guiding me in what to order, and I ended up getting the Chorizo Hash. There was a surprising amount of flavor and substance to it. I would order it again, and next time, I will get the tortilla strips on the side instead of on top, so they maintain the all-important crunch. It was interesting experience eating scrambled tofu instead of scrambled eggs.
My friend got the Watercourse Slam, with a side of pancakes, and really liked hers as well. They also make awesome espresso drinks. We both commented on how good we felt afterwards—we felt full, but not too much, because everything we ate was healthy.
