Ever find yourself on the south side of town, like for a concert at the Gothic, and not sure where to go for dinner? Look no further than Colore.
Colore is a fun, yet casual restaurant, right off Broadway & Yale in Englewood that you can count on for consistently delicious Italian food, good drinks, and a really pleasant atmosphere. I went with a group before a concert, and we ordered family style so everyone got what they wanted.
For appetizers, we (of course) ordered the Burrata, and the Roasted Jalapeño Artichoke dip. Both of which were yummy, and the dip was surprisingly spicy!
For drinks, we ordered a refreshing cocktail that was on special, and then switched to wine.
Then, we ordered 4 different pastas & split them among us. We made sure to include a variety, and everyone ended up having a different favorite. We ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs, Lobster Ravioli, Linguine & Prosciutto (my personal favorite), and Chicken Piccata. It was plenty of food, the service was great, and it provided a good base for the rest of our night!
Hint that we didn’t quite grasp: If you are heading to a concert at the Gothic afterwards, it’s a solid 15-20 minute walk. Not actually that close.
